Lorraine Major 

(Chair Person)

Lorraine is the current chair of HHH and is an Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practioner based at Basingstoke Hospital HHFT. Lorraine first went to Hoima in 2010.

Lorraine took the position as Chairperson in 2015 and was re-elected in 2023 after having a break from being chair for a few years.

Howard Simpson

Howard is an experienced emergency department consultant in Basingstoke. Howard was the chair from 2018 - 2023.

He first went out to Uganda in 2012.

Anne Reilly

(Treasurer)

Anne is a Paediatric Nurse who works for HHFT. She first went out to Hoima in 2010. 

Asma Abbass (Secretary)

Asma is a Paediatric Matron who works for HHFT.  She first went out to Hoima in 2017.

Joy Murphy

Joy is an experienced practice nurse who has been going out to Hoima since 2012.

Laura Aspinall

Laura is a Senior Midwife based at Basingstoke Hospital HHFT

Laura Blackmore

Laura is a Senior Midwife based at Winchester Hospital HHFT

Priya Ilangovan

Priya is an experienced paediatric consultant working in Basingstoke. 

She first went out to Uganda in 2011.

Christopher Butt 

Chris is an experience senior midwife based in Winchester HHFT.

Ian Simpson

Ian is an experienced consultant obstetrician based in Basingstoke HHFT. 

Samantha Wilson

Sam is an experienced consultant anaesthetist based in Basingstoke HHFT. She first went to Hoima in 2022. 

Joel Mulinda

Joel is our trustee who is Ugandan and lives in Hoima. Joel runs a successful taxi and safari tour company. He is our "on the ground" trustee and is invaluable on sorting logistics and checking in with local projects in Hoima.
